Yalta Conference
The Yalta conference took place in Russia during world war two from February 4-11, 1945. U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin all attended the Yalta conference to make important decisions that pertain to the the war and the post war. They discussed what was going to be done with Germany at the end of the war. They agreed that Germany should assume some reparations but not all. They also discussed the UN and the permanent five. The U.S. and Soviet Union even agreed to being "friendly" with one another. But this was short-lived because of Roosevelt's death and Truman taking office. The U.S. and the soviets began to clash once again.
